Yuba Salmon Tours
Yuba River Salmon Viewing Tours - October 22, 29 (and November 5)
Join the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) (a SalmonAid member organization) for salmon viewing raft tours on the Lower Yuba River, where you can experience for yourself the wonder of the Fall-run Chinook salmon spawning.
Salmon tours are a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to witness this amazing species in their natural environment and see first hand their incredible life cycle. Not only will you gain hands on educational experience, you will also gain a better understanding as to how humans are impacting these fish and how they can be protected.
SYRCL naturalists in partnership with river guides from Environmental Travel Companions are ready to lead public trips down the Lower Yuba River on October 22, October 29, and November 5. Come experience the remarkable journey of fall-run Chinook salmon as they return from the sea to their ancestral spawning grounds. This salmon run is unique in the fact that the Yuba is free of hatcheries and represents one of the last remaining strongholds for wild, self-sustaining salmon runs in the San Francisco Bay Watershed.
